AJ is our Head girl. She
lives on a dairy farm with her parents and older brother and is
studying Biology, Chemistry, Accounting, Calculus and PE at Level 3.
AJ gets involved:

She has played the
piano for the past 9 years and sits grade 8 piano this year.

She has passed NCEA
music performance level 3.
-
In August she played in
the Dame Malvina Major Youth Performance Showcase for rising
talent in New Plymouth.

She plays in the
school’s concert band and has been placed in the yearly Welsh
McCarthy and Altrusa music performances.

For the past two years
she has received the J.E Mortimer Challenge cup for most
outstanding year’s effort.
-
She works 12 hours each
week as a lifeguard at the Hawera Powerco Aquatic Centre - she’s
worked there for two and half years.

She holds a full
drivers licence.

She’s given blood
Climbed Mount Taranaki
in January this year.

AJ is co captain of the
girls first eleven hockey
-
Last year she won the
senior girls triathlon.
-
She participated in the
Stage Challenge that performed in Palmerston North this year and
was head of the sound, music and lighting committee.
-
For the last two years
she has attended the SADD (Students against driving drunk)
conference in Wellington and this year helped organise a quiz
and disco to raise awareness in the school.
Next year AJ hopes to attend Massey University and study for a
Bachelor of Human Nutrition, majoring in Sports and Exercise.
We hope she finds time to do this!
